Eight volunteers pitched up and we worked for approx. 1½ hours. As in September, the work was mainly tidying, including plenty of leaf clearing and dead-heading. We also planted some winter flowering irises which were kindly donated by a Friend. We planted these inside the enclosed garden in a sunny spot behind one of the benches and also in the bed on the Library approach from School Lane. They may not flower this year but should provide a good mid-winter display in future.
