The Hampton Wick Association and the Friends of Hampton Wick Library are non-political and non-religious. We will campaign without fear or favour to protect and enhance our Library.
1. We will lobby LBRuT and where necessary other authorities to maintain and improve the Library and its services. Examples include improved signage and lighting.
2. We will apply for grant funding for projects from sources that the Library itself may not be able to access directly. Examples might include local authority Civic Pride grants, charitable trusts etc.
3. We will run appeals to ask local residents for donations and volunteering help. Examples might include children’s play equipment and plants for the garden, helping out at Library events.

Our Library is tucked away and needs good signage from the High Street and other side roads.

The signposts to our Library are OK for cars but they do leave considerable room for improvement for pedestrians.
The signage on the Library (and Bullen/village hall) is somewhere between invisible and non-existent.
This is a long-standing problem.
